Two friends, Joe and Bob, were avid Scrabble players and decided to have a game one evening. They were evenly matched and the game was very competitive. At one point, Joe played the word "quixotic" and challenged Bob to find a word that would fit on the board.

Bob thought for a while and then placed the tiles to spell out the word "quixotry." Joe looked at the board and, after a moment of stunned silence, burst out laughing. "Bob, that's not a word! You made that up!"

Bob looked at Joe with a straight face and replied, "No, I didn't. It means the pursuit of unrealistic goals, like playing 'quixotic' in Scrabble."

Joe couldn't stop laughing and, from that moment on, whenever they played Scrabble, they would always try to outdo each other with creative and absurd words. Their games were no longer just about winning, but about having fun and pushing the boundaries of the English language.
